Virtual SKU to a Dropship Status Order

This guide will describe the workflow for virtual SKUs.

In order to consider an SKU as virtual, the SKU Distribution Center has to be configured as Virtual Dropship. This configuration is done to avoid the order with virtual SKUs going into API Errors.

This setting is done in the OMS > Inventory > SKU View > Edit Option

There are two scenarios:

  1. Orders that contain only virtual SKUs will be shown in the Orders view with Dropship status. Please check the image below:
  2. Orders that combine DC1 and virtual SKUs, will be automatically divided into two shipments. The SKUs that belong to Virtual Sku Distribution Center will be shown as Dropship status just like the above image, and the portion of the order with DC1 SKUs will be shown as Pending or Backorder status (based on sku’s available inventory). For example:

This order contains a virtual SKU (Distribution Center assigned for the SKU is Virtual Dropship) and a SKU that is fulfilled by the WMS (Distribution Center assigned for the SKU is DC1)  The system split the order into two. The first order shows Dropship status and includes the virtual SKU, The second order shows as Pending or Backorder Status and will include the DC1 SKUs. Please see the following image:
