Obtaining Store API Credentials (BigCommerce)

To generate store API Credentials in BigCommerce, Log in to your store then:

  1.  Navigate to Advanced Settings > API Accounts > Create API Account
  2.  Fill in the Name section of the Create API Account page.
  3.  In the OAuth Section, please define the scopes that are required.
  4. Save your configuration.
    1. Minimum Scope Requirements (Very Important)
      1.  Orders – modify
      2.  Products – modify
      3.  Order Transactions – ready-only
      4.  Webhooks – modify

Shipedge – OMS

  1. To integrate WooCommerce, simply go to Shipedge OMS My Account Preferences > Channel Automation and look for WooCommerce.
  2. Click on BigCommerce v3, name your store, and click on Add New Store an alert will pop-up click on OK.
  3. New options will be available the API Parameters Configuration is the first.
    1. The Access Token and the Client ID are the ones we got from the API configuration.
    2. Client ID 
    3. The API parameters will ask you for a Hash Store, this hash store can be found in the API Creation account view. There you will find an API Path if you look into that link will see this piece of the URL as the Hash Store, please copy that piece of code and place into the Hash Store field in Shipedge.
  4. Order Status (What orders to import). Here you can configure the orders on which Shipedge will be pulling to your OMS.
    1. You will write the order status separated by a comma. The most commonly used is the Awaiting Fulfillment, there are others you can include too. 
      1. Incomplete, Pending, Shipped, Partially_Shipped, Refunded, Cancelled, Declined, Awaiting_Payment, Awaiting_Pickup, Awaiting_Shipment, Completed
  5. Inventory Sync and Tracking.
    1. Please go to the BigCommerce store and set up Inventory tracking for all products you plan to ship from Shipedge. This is required for the inventory sync to work but may also interfere with confirming shipments if it is not turned on.

    3. ****We highly suggest you do NOT check these two boxes in the Update Inventory section until your SKUs have been received into the Warehouse Management System. This will prevent any discrepancies in your inventory quantities on Big Commerce Store.
    4. Tracking you, please check this box in order to activate this function.
  6. Save your configuration.Click on the Save Configuration button placed above the API parameters section.
  7. Address Verification, Residential Check, and Ship Method Translator.
    1. Hover on the Orders section and then select Integrations. Then, look up the BigCommerce integration name you set up before.
    2. Click on the tool icon and check the Address Verification & Residential Check.
    3. Ship Methods and API Errors.
      1. As this is considered a new integration some orders may initially come in with an API Error. As they do please be sure to map the ship methods to prevent errors on future orders.
        You can also map the Ship Methods by clicking the Checklist Icon and then selecting ShipMethod Translator.
